Children’s Book Project

The Children’s Book Project is a San Francisco Bay Area charity that promotes literacy among disadvantaged children by providing under funded shelters, schools, daycare and community centers with books and other literacy resources. Additionally, they sponsor a ‘First Book’ program for young children that allows them to take their first book home with them to keep.

To address educational inadequacies in our community, BMUN will be holding a book drive Saturday night. Delegates who bring any children’s book or higher-level book will receive an extra $100 worth of BMUN Casino Money for each item they donate. All books will be donated to the Children’s Book Project. The books do not need to be newly purchased, but should be in generally good condition.
