Position Paper Submission
ATTENTION DELEGATES —
Below are our position paper guidelines. Please note that these guidelines are very strict and you will be penalized if you do not follow them. However, if your head chairs have different guidelines than the ones below (ie on paper length), please defer to their regulations.
PER EACH PAPER
1. Times New Roman 12 point font
2. Double-spaced
3. 3 pages minimum, 5 pages maximum
4. Right-aligned Header stating Country, Committee, Topic (NO NAMES OR SCHOOL NAME)
5. Page # indicated in center of footer for each page
6. Include title of paper centered, in bold, on first page
7. 1-inch margins on each side (top, left, right, and bottom)
8. No cover page
9. all quotations must be cited (use MLA format)
All position papers will be extensively cross referenced through various sources, both online and in-print. If there is any evidence of using the work of others without citations, the position paper will not be eligible for an award. Furthermore, any school that has more than four cases of plagiarism will not be eligible for a School Delegation Award. It is the responsibility of the delegate and the advisor to ensure this does not happen.
